Send it
- Open Send and choose the number to send from.
- Attach up to ten documents. PDF, TIFF, JPEG and PNG are accepted.
- Enter the recipient's fax number. Formatting does not matter —
(209) 555-0100,209-555-0100and+12095550100are all read the same way. - Leave the cover page on unless the recipient has asked you not to send one.
- Press Send.
What happens next
The fax is queued immediately and transmitted in the background, so you do not have to keep the page open. The status moves through queued, sending, then delivered or failed.
If the first carrier cannot complete the transmission, VitalFax may try a second one. It only does this when it knows the first attempt definitively did not send — never when the outcome is unknown. That rule is what prevents the same document arriving twice at the other end.
Checking it arrived
Sent shows every outbound fax with its final status and the number of pages. Open one to see the per-attempt history, including which carrier handled it and what it reported.
Delivery means the receiving machine acknowledged the pages. It does not mean a person has read them — no fax service can tell you that.
This is about /app/send in the application. You will need to be signed in.
